Hardware

Hardware and brands

Hardware is where you touch the door every day, so we treat it as part of the door, not an afterthought. Every door we make is quoted with its handles, hinges, closers and locks, chosen from brands we can supply, fit and stand behind.

Door handles, locks and hardware in Dubai

Good hardware is the difference between a door that feels right and one that feels like a rental. We supply and fit lever handles, pull bars, knobs, flush pulls, hinges, closers, locks and smart locks with every door we make, chosen from brands we trust and matched in one finish through the house. Hardware is never an add on: it is drawn with the door, the leaf is machined for it in production, and it is fitted and adjusted by our team.

Door handles and locks by door type

Main doors take a long pull bar with a mortice lock and usually a smart lock, or a lever on a plate with a multipoint lock for classic doors. Pivot doors take a pull bar sized to the leaf, with the lock planned around the pivot. Interior doors take a lever on a round or square rose with a magnetic latch or a sash lock. Bathroom doors take a lever with a privacy turn and emergency release. Sliding doors take recessed flush pulls and hook bolt locks. Fire rated doors take certified levers, closers and hinges tested with the door set.

Finishes and matching

Brushed brass, polished brass, satin nickel, polished and satin chrome, bronze, black and gold plated finishes are available across most collections. We match the handle finish across every door on a floor, and to the kitchen and wardrobe hardware when Joinery Haus is working on the same home. Samples are brought to the site measure so you can feel the weight and the action before deciding.

How hardware is specified with your door

Each door type takes different hardware. A pivot door needs a pull bar and a floor spring or pivot set. A hinged interior door needs a lever on a rose, concealed or butt hinges and a latch or lock. A bathroom door adds a privacy turn. A fire rated door set needs tested hinges, a closer and intumescent seals. We set all of this out on the shop drawings, so the hardware is agreed before the door is made and the leaf is machined for it in production, not on site.

Finishes

Most collections are offered in polished and brushed chrome, satin nickel, brushed and polished brass, bronze, black and gold plated finishes, with some models in leather and timber inserts. We match handle finishes across every door in the house, and to the kitchen and wardrobe hardware where Joinery Haus is working on the same project.

Samples

Handles are best judged in the hand. Ask us for samples of the two or three models you are deciding between and we will bring them to the site measure.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I choose hardware from a brand that is not listed here?

Usually, yes. If you have a handle specified by your designer or seen elsewhere, send us the model and we will source it or propose an equivalent. Fire rated doors are the exception: the hardware must be tested with the door set.

Do you publish hardware prices?

No. Every door is quoted as one package with its hardware, so the price you see is the price you pay for the finished, fitted door.

Who fits the smart lock?

We do. The door is machined for the lock in production, and the lock is fitted, paired to your phone and tested at installation.

Can I supply my own door handles?

Yes. Send us the model and we will machine the door for it. For fire rated doors the hardware must be tested with the door set, so we will check it first.

Do you fit door closers?

Yes. Overhead and concealed closers are specified where a door must self close, which includes all fire rated doors.

What handle finish is most popular in Dubai?

Brushed brass and matt black for contemporary villas, polished chrome and satin nickel for apartments, and polished brass for classic homes. Bronze is growing.
