Made in Italy since 1911
Olivari
Olivari has made door handles in Italy since 1911, in its own factories where the whole process takes place, from the brass to the finished piece. Its collections are designed with architects and designers including Gio Ponti, Patricia Urquiola, Piero Lissoni, Jean Nouvel, Rodolfo Dordoni and UNStudio.

The Olivari collection
A selection from the current catalogue. Round and square roses, lever handles, pulls and knobs, in galvanic and painted finishes.
Finishes and availability are confirmed at quotation. We do not publish hardware prices online; every door is quoted with its hardware as one package.
About Olivari
Olivari has made door handles in Borgomanero, in the Italian lake district north of Milan, since 1911. The company is still family owned and still makes everything in the one factory, from casting and machining the brass to finishing and packing. What sets it apart is the design programme: for decades Olivari has commissioned handles from leading architects and designers, so the catalogue reads like a history of Italian design, with pieces by Gio Ponti, Vico Magistretti, Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni and others still in production.
Build and finishes
Olivari levers are solid brass, cast or forged, and finished in the factory in a range that includes polished and satin chrome, polished and satin brass, black, bronze and the company's own durable PVD finishes, which carry a finish guarantee against tarnish. The mechanism inside the rose is the part you feel every day: Olivari levers return on a spring that is precise and silent, and they stay that way.
How we use Olivari
Olivari is our choice when a door wants a designed handle rather than a plain one, on a walnut or painted interior door in a villa or apartment, on a hidden door where the lever is the only visible hardware, and on main doors where a matching pull is available. We supply the lever on rose with the matching escutcheon, the privacy turn for bathrooms and bedrooms, and the matching hinges and pulls where the collection has them, so a house can be fitted throughout in one design.
Choosing a piece
Browse the collection below and note the model name. In the door designer, choose the lever type and rose shape that suit the door, then tell us the Olivari model and finish when you send your design, and we will confirm availability and quote the door with its hardware as one package. We can bring samples to the site measure.
Why we specify Olivari
Olivari handles are solid brass, machined and finished in Italy, with a weight and action you feel the moment you take hold of one. The range covers everything a bespoke door needs: levers on round and square roses, low horizontal plates, door knobs, flush pulls for sliding doors, pull handles for entrance doors and components for armoured and hotel room doors.
Finishes
Galvanic finishes include polished and satin chrome, polished and satin brass, nickel, bronze and black, with painted finishes on selected models. Ask us for the finish chart for the model you are considering.

Questions
Frequently asked
Where are Olivari handles made?
In Borgomanero, Italy, in the company's own factory, where it has made handles since 1911. Casting, machining, finishing and packing all happen in the one plant.
Can Olivari handles be used on a main door?
Yes, where the collection includes a matching pull or an exterior grade finish. We confirm the finish for an exposed door and quote the door and hardware together.
