Doors

Bathroom doors

Bathroom doors face steam and humidity every day, so the core, edges and finish matter more than anywhere else in the house. We make bespoke bathroom doors for Dubai homes with moisture resistant construction and sealed finishes, in hinged, hidden or sliding designs that match the rest of your doors.

White Flush Concealed Door With Lever

Built for steam, designed to match

A bathroom door can look identical to the bedroom door beside it while being built differently inside. We specify a moisture resistant core, seal every edge and choose finishes that tolerate humidity, so the door stays flat and the finish holds. Privacy locks, vents or undercuts are planned in where the room needs them.

Where space is tight, a pocket door or sliding door saves the swing of a hinged leaf.

Bathroom doors that last in Dubai

A bathroom door lives with steam, splashes and humidity every day, so its build matters more than its style. The leaf needs a moisture resistant core, sealed edges and a finish that will not lift, and the frame needs to be set clear of the floor so it never stands in water. We make bathroom doors to order, in the same finishes as the bedroom doors on the floor, so the corridor reads as one scheme while the bathroom door is built for its job.

Timber, WPC, PVC or aluminium

You will see four kinds of bathroom door on the market in Dubai. PVC and uPVC bathroom doors are the cheapest, light and waterproof, but they look and sound like what they are and do not match the rest of a good home. Aluminium bathroom doors are durable and common in commercial fit outs, but cold in a bedroom corridor. WPC doors, a wood plastic composite, are waterproof, stable and can be painted or finished in a wood effect; they are a sensible choice for staff bathrooms and service areas. Timber doors on a moisture resistant core with sealed edges and a PU or lacquer finish are what we make for family bathrooms, master ensuites and powder rooms, because they match the bedroom doors and feel like a proper door. We will tell you honestly which is right for each room.

Bathroom door design

The most requested bathroom door designs are a flush door matching the bedroom door, a glazed panel door with frosted or reeded glass that lets light into an internal bathroom, and a hidden door for a powder room off a living space. Sliding bathroom doors and pocket doors suit small ensuites where a swing would hit the vanity. Louvred or vented doors are specified where a bathroom has no window and the ventilation design needs a transfer grille.

Bathroom door locks and handles

A bathroom door takes a lever with a privacy turn inside and an emergency release outside, or a bathroom lock with a thumb turn and indicator. For sliding bathroom doors there are hook bolt locks with the same privacy function. Handles in brushed brass, satin nickel or black are the usual finishes; we match them to the taps and the bedroom door handles. On the hardware pages you can see the lever collections and the privacy options.

Details that keep a bathroom door right

The bottom of the leaf is sealed and lifted clear of the floor. The frame is fixed with a gap for the floor finish and sealed at the threshold. The hinges are stainless. A kick plate or a stainless strip protects the bottom of the leaf in a children's bathroom. A vent grille or an undercut keeps the extract working. All of these are drawn before the door is made.

How we work

From site measure to installation

Four steps, one point of contact, and nothing made until you approve the drawings.

  1. Site measure

We visit, measure the opening, check the wall build up and floor level, and talk through how the door should look and work.

  2. Drawings and samples

You receive shop drawings and physical finish samples. Nothing goes into production until you or your designer approve them.

  3. Made to order

Your door is factory produced to the approved drawings, with production updates as it moves through the build and a quality check before it leaves.

  4. Installed by our team

Our fitting team installs, adjusts and hands over the door, with one point of contact from the first visit to the last adjustment.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can a wooden door be used in a bathroom?

Yes, if it is built for it. A moisture resistant core, sealed edges and a suitable finish let a timber or veneer door perform well in a bathroom with normal ventilation.

Do you make WPC bathroom doors?

Our focus is bespoke timber, veneer and lacquer doors built for humidity. If you need a specific WPC product for a project, ask us and we will advise.

Is a sliding bathroom door a good idea?

It saves space and works well for en suites. A pocket door slides into the wall and leaves the wall face clear when open.

How long does a bespoke door take?

Lead time depends on the size, finish, hardware and how quickly drawings are approved. We confirm the programme in writing when you approve the drawings, and keep you updated during production.

What is the best material for a bathroom door in Dubai?

For family bathrooms and ensuites, a timber door on a moisture resistant core with sealed edges and a PU or lacquer finish. For staff and service bathrooms, WPC is a sensible waterproof option. PVC doors are the cheapest but do not suit a good home.

Can a bathroom door have glass?

Yes. Frosted or reeded glass panels let light into an internal bathroom while keeping privacy, and they suit powder rooms and ensuites.

What lock does a bathroom door need?

A privacy lock: a thumb turn on the inside with an emergency release on the outside, either in the lever set or as a separate bathroom lock with an indicator.

Can you make a sliding bathroom door?

Yes. Top hung sliding and pocket doors suit small bathrooms where a hinged door would hit the vanity. We fit them with privacy hook locks.

Should the bathroom door match the bedroom door?

Usually yes, so the corridor stays consistent. The build changes for the bathroom, the look does not.

Do bathroom doors need ventilation?

If the bathroom has no window, the extract fan needs make up air. An undercut or a vent grille in the door provides it, and we size it with your MEP contractor.
