Process

How we work

Every door follows the same four steps: we measure on site, you approve drawings and samples, the door is made to order with production updates and a quality check, and our team installs it.

How we work

From site measure to installation

Four steps, one point of contact, and nothing made until you approve the drawings.

  1. Site measure

We visit, measure the opening, check the wall build up and floor level, and talk through how the door should look and work.

  2. Drawings and samples

You receive shop drawings and physical finish samples. Nothing goes into production until you or your designer approve them.

  3. Made to order

Your door is factory produced to the approved drawings, with production updates as it moves through the build and a quality check before it leaves.

  4. Installed by our team

Our fitting team installs, adjusts and hands over the door, with one point of contact from the first visit to the last adjustment.

Why drawings come first

A door is only as good as its fit. Drawing every door before production means the opening, the frame, the hardware positions and the finish are all agreed in advance, and nothing is left to be solved on site.

Quality checked before delivery

Each door is checked for size, finish and hardware preparation before it leaves for site. Issues are corrected before delivery, not on your wall.

One point of contact

You deal with one person from the site measure to handover, who knows your project and keeps you updated.

Payment

For made to order doors: 60 percent on approval of drawings, 25 percent at the midpoint of production and 15 percent on completion.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you visit site before quoting?

Yes. Every bespoke door starts with a site measure, because the opening, wall build up and floor level decide the frame and fixing. We can give a guide figure from photos and sizes, and the final quotation follows the measure.

How long does a bespoke door take?

Lead time depends on the size, finish, hardware and how quickly drawings are approved. We confirm the programme in writing when you approve the drawings, and keep you updated during production.

What are your payment terms?

For made to order doors we work on 60 percent on approval of drawings, 25 percent at the midpoint of production and 15 percent on completion.

Do you supply handles and smart locks?

Yes. Every door is quoted with its hardware: lever handles, pull bars, hinges, closers and smart locks with fingerprint, face recognition or keypad access. We offer our signature range and the Devon Studio collection, and can fit a named smart lock brand on request. Choose your hardware in the door designer and we confirm availability with the quotation.
