About Tupai
Tupai is a Portuguese manufacturer of door handles, roses, escutcheons and door furniture, made in the north of Portugal where much of Europe's hardware industry is based. The range is broad: from clean contemporary levers on slim round or square roses to more classical shapes, in a wide palette of finishes, with lead free brass available on request for projects that specify it.
Build and finishes
Tupai levers are brass or zinc alloy depending on the model, on roses with a concealed fixing and a sprung return. Finishes include polished and satin chrome, polished and satin brass, matt black, graphite, bronze, titanium and several PVD finishes that resist wear and tarnish. The breadth of the finish range is the reason we use Tupai: when a house wants every handle, hinge, escutcheon and door stop in the same black or brass, Tupai can usually supply all of it to match.
How we use Tupai
Tupai is our choice for whole house schedules and for projects, where thirty or forty doors need the same lever in the same finish, delivered on time and matched across every piece. We supply the lever on rose with the escutcheon, the bathroom turn and release, matching hinges where the range offers them, and the matching door stops and coat hooks that finish a scheme.
Choosing a piece
Browse the collection below and note the model name. In the door designer, choose the lever type and rose shape, then tell us the Tupai model and finish when you send your design. We confirm stock and quote the door with its hardware as one package, and we can bring samples to the site measure.
Why we specify Tupai
Tupai gives us a deep catalogue at a sensible price point without losing quality: solid brass levers, a wide finish range and matching hinges, locks, bolts and accessories so the whole door can be furnished from one source. Knurled and textured grips are a strength of the range.
Finishes
Chrome, satin nickel, brushed and polished brass, bronze, copper, black and white are available across most of the collection. Multi finish plating lets the same lever be matched to the rest of the house.
