Project
Kids Palace Nursery, Dubai
A set of white panelled and glazed interior doors for a nursery in Dubai, made to one design with knurled brass pull handles and brass levers, and installed with matching wall moulding so the doors and the corridors read as one scheme.
The brief
A nursery needs doors that are bright, robust and easy to read for small children and staff. The client wanted a classic panelled look that would sit with the corridor wall moulding, glazed panels where a room needs to be seen into, and hardware that would stand up to constant use.
What we made
Panelled doors and glazed panelled doors in a white painted finish, with knurled brass pull handles on the glazed doors and brass lever handles on the panelled doors. The wall moulding in the corridors was set out to align with the door frames and architraves, so the doors feel built into the architecture rather than fitted afterwards.
Why it works
Every door was measured on site, drawn and approved before production, then installed and adjusted by our own team. The result is one consistent scheme across the corridors: the same panel proportions, the same brass, the same shadow lines.

The details
The scheme lives in its details. Every pull is a knurled brass bar on round roses, set at the same height on every glazed door, with the cylinder on a matching brass rose below it. The panelled doors carry a square rose brass lever with a separate escutcheon, so the lever and lock read as two clean pieces rather than one plate. Panels are framed with a crisp applied moulding, and the architraves step in the same profile as the wall moulding beside them, so the shadow lines run continuously along the corridor. Glazed doors have clear glass above and frosted glass below, so adults can see into a room while small children have privacy at their own height. Hinges are soft closing. All of it is filmed here as it was handed over.
