The walnut entrance
Jumeirah Golf Estates is a community of large contemporary villas with tall entrance openings. The walnut entrance door shown here, with three black horizontal bars and a full height glass sidelight, is one of ours: a flush leaf in walnut veneer on a solid core, a long black pull, and the sidelight frame made in the same walnut so the door and the glass read as one piece. For the tallest openings we make the same design as a pivot door, with the floor pivot carrying the weight so the leaf swings on a fingertip.
Finishes for the golf course
Villas backing onto the course take full afternoon sun, so the finish matters. We use a UV stable lacquer on walnut and teak, and recommend teak for an entrance with no porch. Interior doors in these villas are usually full height, walnut or oak flush doors with concealed frames and hidden doors to the dressing rooms, in keeping with the open plan interiors.
Community approval
Jumeirah Golf Estates community management reviews changes to the external look of a villa. A new door in the same opening and a conventional finish is usually approved without difficulty; we provide the drawing for the application.

Site measure
We visit, measure the opening, check the wall build up and floor level, and talk through how the door should look and work.
Drawings and samples
You receive shop drawings and physical finish samples. Nothing goes into production until you or your designer approve them.
Made to order
Your door is factory produced to the approved drawings, with production updates as it moves through the build and a quality check before it leaves.
Installed by our team
Our fitting team installs, adjusts and hands over the door, with one point of contact from the first visit to the last adjustment.
